Heading to the Jaguar Preserve

July 23, 2015

We are busily writing the blog about today’s adventures and will post it tomorrow morning. However, after that we will spend two nights in the Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Preserve, where we will not have any access to the Internet and so will not be able to post. Do not worry ā€” we are fine! Just disconnected from the Internet!

We had a fabulous time with Red-eyed Tree Frogs in the pond in the Jaguar Preserve! It rained while we were walking down the dark road, and again as we stood listening to the chorus of calls. We found mating pairs as well as freshly laid eggs. We went a second night and also found a turtle (it was similar to our box turtle but has two hinges) and watched a Basilisk Lizard run across the top of the water!
